WASHINGTON, DC -- Three Members of the House of Representatives have joined as cosponsors of a bipartisan resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 180 cosponsors in the House and 22 in the Senate.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Association of Broadcasters revealed new research today from Morning Consult confirming the critical role that radio and TV broadcasters play in times of emergency. Indeed, the polling shows that in emergency situations, Americans turn to broadcast TV and radio above all other media by a factor of nearly four to one.
