Renowned musician and philanthropist Jon Bon Jovi will receive the 2017 Service to America Leadership Award from the NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) for his ongoing efforts to combat poverty and homelessness. Bon Jovi, whose music and public service signify the spirit of America and the principles that define the nation, will receive the honor at NABEF’s Celebration of Service to America Awards on June 20 in Washington, DC.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Five Members of the House of Representatives have joined as cosponsors of a bipartisan resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 185 cosponsors in the House and 22 in the Senate.
