A place for people with physical or mental challenges to go and be involved in gainful employment. This auction and the SW Resources Golf Classic are two major fund-raisers for this organization in which we are involved each year. The Golf Tourney routinely raises more than $25,000 a year. The Auction raises much more.
The Big Dawg steps up to the plate once again raising funds for St Jude’s Children Hospital. In April they raised over $35,000!
It’s the West Virginia Chili Association State Championship, the winner goes to national competition. Proceeds from Chilifest benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Tri-State here in Huntington. Additionally, WSAZ employees sell Chili-In-A-Bag, with proceeds going to WSAZ Children’s Charities.
The three hour live broadcast, hosted by Chris Lawrence, included interviews with hunting and fishing exhibitors from throughout the world. The broadcast has become a staple of the partnership between the station ad show promoters--the West Virginia Trophy Hunters Association.
