The legal, technical and creative aspects of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) use for broadcast applications will be explored at NAB Show in Las Vegas during the panel discussion "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: Myths & Realities." As part of the Broadcast Management Conference, the session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 11:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to the announcement by FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler that he will propose changes to the rules governing AM radio, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

Las Vegas, NV -- NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith delivered the annual NAB State of the Industry address during the 2015 NAB Show. Below is a transcript of his remarks as prepared for delivery.

Las Vegas, NV – NAB Show, the world's largest annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage, and distribute entertainment across all platforms, kicked off today. NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith opened the convention with his annual State of the Broadcast Industry Address, and a broad range of sessions throughout the day delved into how content comes to life in today's media marketplace. An expected 100,000 audio, video, and film content professionals from around the world are set to attend this year's NAB Show, which runs through Thursday, April 16.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), NAB Show and the National Base for International Trade-International High Tech Cultural Device Cluster (TCDIC), headquartered in Shanghai, announced plans for a brand new event-- NAB Show Global Innovation Exchange | Shanghai, to support the rapidly changing media and entertainment industry in China. The conference will take place December 3-4, 2015 at the Shangri-la Kerry Hotel, Pudong, Shanghai, China.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Four Members of House of Representatives have signed on as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution now has 151 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 11 in the Senate.

Las Vegas, NV -- The National Association of Broadcasters announced today preliminary registered attendance of 103,042 for the 2015 NAB Show, the world's largest annual convention covering filmed entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all mediums. The exhibition featured 1,789 companies spanning 1,015,000 net square feet of exhibit space.
