The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that FOX Television and the CW Network will host meetings with their affiliated television station representatives at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Also, the affiliate boards of directors of ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX Television will once again hold meetings during the NAB Show.

NAB Show organizers today announced the next 10 startups chosen to participate in SPROCKIT 2015. These pioneering companies have been selected by industry leaders to collaborate with and present before influencers and decision makers at this year’s NAB Show, scheduled for April 11-16, 2015 in Las Vegas

Academy Award nominee and “American Sniper” cinematographer Tom Stern will appear in a conversation at NAB Show, which takes place in Las Vegas in April. The session, “Heroes, Legends and ‘American Sniper’: A Conversation with Tom Stern” is the Keynote Presentation of the Creative Master Series (CMS) and is produced in collaboration with the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) Local 600. It is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 1:45 – 2:45 p.m.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A bipartisan group of 13 Members of House of Representatives and two Senators have added their names as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution now has 133 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and seven in the Senate.

NAB Show will feature extensive conference programing and exhibits on the latest trends in multiplatform content monetization, including advances in advertising technology, developments in media measurement techniques and best practices for both traditional and digital advertising. The convention takes place April 11 – 16 in Las Vegas.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Association of Broadcasters filed a petition today with the Federal Communications Commission requesting a rulemaking to correct serious design flaws in the television white spaces (TVWS) database system. NAB also filed an emergency motion to suspend operations of the TVWS database pending completion of the rulemaking or until temporary methods to ensure accurate database information were adopted.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Federal Communications Commission today issued a proposed $325,000 fine against Schurz Communications' WDBJ-TV Roanoke, VA for a three-second image that appeared in a July 12, 2012 newscast.
