Job Summary/Description:  


WTAP is looking for a Technical Media Producer for directing our weekend and weekday newscasts as well as monitoring and quality control of our six television stations. The job consists of working from 3:00pm to 12:00am with an hour break Saturday through Tuesday or Wednesday with a flexible 8 or 10 hour day. Must be able to cover different shifts for other team members PTO now and then.


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


- Working with producers and team to prepare for newscasts.
- Being attentive and focused on the job.
- Monitoring our television stations and correcting issues which might arise.
- Triggering local breaks in LIVE network programming.
- Monitoring on-air signals, transmitter readings, and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Requirements:


- Computer experience and willingness to learn are a must.
- A successful applicant will be dependable, focused, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure with strict deadlines and have strong multi-tasking skills.
- Needs to work and communicate well with others, but also be a self-starter.
- A valid driver's license is required along with reliable transportation.
