Award-winning artist John Legend will receive the 2019 Service to America Leadership Award from the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF) for his advocacy efforts to promote social justice and equality.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to today's passage of the PIRATE Act by the Senate Commerce Committee, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:

The NAB Leadership Foundation (NABLF) will present the 2019 Corporate Leadership Award to LG Electronics USA at the Celebration of Service to America Awards, held June 11 at the Anthem in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- NAB Executive Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs Rick Kaplan testified this morning at a Department of Justice public workshop on competition in television and digital advertising.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Five Members of the House of Representatives and two Senators have added their cosponsorship to a resolution opposing "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA), which signals Members of Congress's opposition to any potential legislation that imposes new performance royalties on broadcast radio stations for music airplay, now has 166 cosponsors in the House and 21 in the Senate.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to today's approval by the Federal Communications Commission of an order that streamlines rules relating to interference caused by FM translators, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:
