WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the FCC's passage of procedures related to the broadcast spectrum incentive auction today, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) has elected Board member and managing partner of Patrick Communications Larry Patrick as chairman of its Board of Directors. Four new members also joined the NABEF Board of Directors: Kevin Cuddihy, president, Univision Television Group; Julie Koehn, president, Lenawee Broadcasting Company; Kevin Latek, senior vice president, Business Affairs, Gray Television; and Deb Turner, vice president of Television Operations, E.W. Scripps Company.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today that Steve Mosko, Sony Pictures Television president, will provide the opening keynote for XX, part of NAB’s Content and Communications World (CCW) on Wednesday, November 11. CCW will be held November 11-12 in New York City.

Representatives from major record labels, including Big Machine Label Group, Columbia Records, Disney Music Group, Glassnote Records and Warner Bros. Entertainment will present their forthcoming records, artists and business initiatives during a special event entitled “Music and Mimosas,” held Friday, October 2 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. during the 2015 Radio Show. The Radio Show, produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB,) takes place September 30 – October 2 in Atlanta.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the circulation of a proposal at the FCC eliminating rules governing exclusivity of broadcast content, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

Registration is now open for the NAB Education Foundation’s (NABEF) 2015 Leadership Development Program (LDP), to be held October 15 – 18 at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C. The program provides top-performing professionals with the tools necessary to effectively lead teams, manage additional responsibilities and advance their careers in the broadcast industry.

Leading industry executives will provide insight on the topics affecting radio finances and what businesses should consider for the future during “Pillsbury’s Financing the Future of Radio,” Wednesday, September 30 from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. during the 2015 Radio Show. The Radio Show, produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), takes place September 30 – October 2 in Atlanta.
