WASHINGTON, DC -- Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) has been added as a co-sponsor of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution now has 200 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 19 in the Senate.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the Senate's passage today of legislation updating the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS), the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

Leading media and marketing executives from The Home Depot, one of the country’s leading broadcast advertisers, will participate in a Q&A session at the 2015 Radio Show Advertiser Breakfast. The event, sponsored by Katz Radio Group, will be held on October 1 at the Marriott Marquis Atlanta. The Radio Show is produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB).

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today that a new edition of the NAB Engineering Handbook is currently under development. First published in 1935, this will be the 11th edition of this industry-standard reference book, with an anticipated release date of April 2017.

More than 550 public service announcements (PSAs) will be distributed to television and radio stations across the country today through the 2015 NAB Congressional PSA Campaign. The program invites members of Congress and their families to be featured in free, professionally-produced spots that address issues of importance to their constituents.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced the finalists for the 2015 NAB Marconi Radio Awards, honoring radio stations and on-air personalities for excellence in broadcasting. The winners will be announced October 1 at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show, sponsored by HD Radio and held during the 2015 Radio Show in Atlanta.
