The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today the 10 winners for the 27th Annual Crystal Radio Awards. Since 1987, the NAB Crystal Radio Awards have recognized radio stations for their outstanding year-round commitment to community service. The 2014 NAB Crystal Radio Award recipients listed below were chosen among 50 finalists who were honored at today's NAB Show Radio Luncheon.

Las Vegas, Nevada – NAB Show, the world's largest annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage and distribute entertainment across all platforms, today featured sessions with Criss Angel, Tom Green and Norm MacDonald; Bas Larsdorp of the MarsOne project, and the creators of the film-for-digital sensation "Camp Takota."

WASHINGTON, DC -- Renowned singer and songwriter Paul Simon will receive the 2014 Service to America Leadership Award from the NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) for his long-time commitment to providing healthcare to underserved children across the country. Simon will receive the award at NABEF's Celebration of Service to America Gala on June 17.

WASHINGTON, DC -- NAB announced today that Radio Board Chairman Don Benson named eight appointees to the NAB Radio Board, with the approval of the Radio Executive Committee and Joint Board Chairman Charles Warfield. It was also announced that NRG Media President and CEO Mary Quass was unanimously elected by the Radio Board to the First Vice Chair Seat.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A majority of the U.S. House of Representatives are now co-sponsors of a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. A bipartisan group of four Representatives have added their names in support of the Local Radio Freedom Act, bringing the number of co-sponsors to 219 Members of the House and 14 Senators.
