NAB Show today announced that AARP, Cox Media Group, Gannett Broadcasting and Tribune Broadcasting have joined SPROCKIT 2014 as founding corporate and nonprofit members. New to this year’s program, industry-leading organizational members will further the SPROCKIT mission by working alongside participating startups to collaboratively shape the future of media and entertainment.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today that Jorge Ramos, renowned broadcast television journalist for Univision and now Fusion, will receive the NAB Distinguished Service Award (DSA) during the 2014 NAB Show. Ramos will accept the award at the opening keynote session, sponsored by Blackmagic Design, on April 7 in Las Vegas.

The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that FOX Television and the CW Network will host meetings with their affiliated television station representatives at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Also, the affiliate boards of directors of ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX Television will once again hold meetings during the NAB Show.

NAB Show organizers today unveiled the remaining 17 companies that will participate in SPROCKIT 2014. A year-round program that spotlights disruptive startups in media and entertainment, SPROCKIT will kick off in Las Vegas April 5-10 at NAB Show, the world's leading convention for professionals who create, manage and distribute entertainment across all media platforms.

NAB Show is the world's largest media and entertainment event with more than 93,000 annual attendees. Got Your 6 is the entertainment industry-backed campaign to bridge the civilian-military divide by changing the conversation in America around veterans and military families.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Association of Broadcasters today highlighted collusive advertising practices of the pay television industry and urged the Federal Communications Commission to examine whether consumers and advertisers are harmed by the joint advertising sales of pay TV providers.

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF), in partnership with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA), announced the addition of a Military Veteran Resource Center to NAB Show's Career Day, Wednesday, April 9, in Las Vegas, NV. Located in the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino Pavilion, Career Day is an annual event that provides college students, entry-level job seekers and experienced professionals with the opportunity to interact with media industry recruiters. NAB Show is the world's largest annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage, and distribute entertainment across all platforms.
