WSAZ-TV, a dominant #1 station, is looking for a full-time writer/producer for its marketing department. We are seeking a producer who is passionate about the art of visual storytelling and selling the WSAZ NewsChannel 3 brand.     • Collaborating with news director and marketing consultant to develop on-air and digital news image campaigns.
    • Writing, shooting and editing image campaigns, special report and daily news topical promotions, and proof-of brand spots.
    • Writing and producing PSAs for station-sponsored events and sales promotions.
    • Traveling between Huntington and Charleston, and to areas of the DMA where our news crews are located on a given day.
    • Working evenings and, at times, long hours.
    • Meeting many tight deadlines.
Prefered Skills
  • Strong and creative writing, shooting and editing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or broadcast-related field.
  • Previous experience working with a local news product preferred.
  • Ability to meet daily and long range deadlines, work well with others in a team atmosphere and contribute meaningful promotional content daily.
