Job Description

WCHS ABC 8 / WVAH FOX 11 are looking for a Part-time Camera Operator for our Charleston studio. If you would like to learn the exciting business of television behind the scenes, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Operating studio cameras for daily newscasts
  • Detailed graphics work for daily newscasts
  • Preparing Streaming Weathercasts for Internet
  • Recording various news segments from the studio
  • Cross-training as back-up for Audio Operator

Requirements Include:

  • Degree in Communications or related field OR one year of related work experience
  • Punctuality
  • Dependability
  • MUST be able to work any and all hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • The ability to positively interact with a multitude of departments and individuals

You will be working approximately 30 hours per work week.

General Hours are Monday - Friday (3 of the 5 days) and Saturday - Sunday (both days, approximately 6 hours per day)
