November 12, 2008-- Wayne Ens has sold advertising successfully through four recessions since 1969. As VP of Sales for a group of Canadian TV stations during the 1991 recession, he was able to achieve local sales increases of 27% in three different markets while overall TV sales in those markets were down 9%. His success through the mid-seventies downturn propelled him into the general manager’s chair for a group of radio stations making him the youngest radio G.M. in all of Canada. Wayne’s articles on sales and management have appeared in numerous trade magazines, including Radio Ink and he has been invited back for a fifth time as a featured speaker at the Radio Advertising Bureau’s Managing Sales Conference in March 2009 in Orlando. He has trained local sales people in outdoor, TV, newspaper and radio across the United States for companies like Comcast Corporation, Obie Media, Granite Broadcasting, Buckley Radio, Tri-Ad Broadcasting and Citadel Broadcasting. Wayne has held sales and management positions in ad agencies, newspaper, radio, TV and outdoor companies. His SoundADvice radio e-marketing system reaches more than 7,000 radio advertisers across North America every week. Ens Media Inc operates out of Lagoon City Canada in the summer and Punta Gorda Florida in the winter, specializing in increasing local-direct sales through customer-focused selling.
